Best YouTubers to learn climbing with

One of the best ways (if not the best) to learn climbing is by watching. Seeing other people struggle and figuring out ways of solving a problem or a route can be very enlightening, for new climbers but also for more experienced ones.

Here’s a list of YouTubers, in no particular order, I’ve personally learnt with - you’ll find some of them are really experienced and great at explaining technique, and others are learning and sharing their progress as they go. You can learn so much from all!

1 - Magnus Midtbø

Magnus has achieved a channel that not only offers valuable content about climbing but also is very entertaining and fun, while keeping it humble and knowledgable.

2 - Hannah Morris Bouldering

Hannah could be the average climber in your climbing gym. That’s what makes her channel interesting, because you learn while she learns, and struggle on what she struggles. She often has content with other YouTubers as well!

3 - Catalyst Climbing

Louis is a great teacher. He is great at ‘dynos’ and jumps, as well as explaining things in different ways and exemplifying the techniques. Definitely check him out!

4 - Lattice Training

Lattice Training is a more professional training channel for climbers. They give professionally backed advice and tips.

5 - Rockentry

Waldo is a super-chill dude that explains very nicely step-by-step how he improves his technique. It’s one of the best channels to start with, because it shows the importance on body movement and foot placement, for example.

Those are just a few accounts that I’ve personally enjoyed learning with - and still do! What about you? Do you follow a different account? Let us know!
